Being a parent is exciting, especially after trying unsuccessfully for years. Drew Scott and his loving wife, Linda Phan, are overjoyed to be expecting their first child after years of trying and failing.
Andrew Alfred Scott, popularly known as “Drew Scott,” is a well-known Canadian reality TV personality. As the program’s name “Property Brothers” would suggest, he and his brother, Jonathan Scott, are its main stars.
In the program about repairing houses, he portrays a real estate agent while his brother plays a contractor.
It has been widely discussed how Drew initially met his wife. He asserts that he recognized Linda Phan as the one when he first saw her gobbling up a sizable slice of pizza.
Drew remembers their first talk, which resulted in their being married. He recalled, “I went up to her [Phan] and asked, “Where can I get a sip of water?”
Soon after, he brought Phan to meet Pedro, their high school closest buddy, and his twin brother, co-star Jonathon. Jonathon was instantly impressed and told Drew that his girlfriend was lovely.
How does Phan remember their initial meeting? Drew asked me, “Hey, where’d you get that water,” Phan explained. “My sister and I were backstage looking for pizza and water when he approached me.”
After meeting for the first time a few months previously, the pair eventually embarked on what they consider “the longest first date in history.” The karaoke party that followed supper at a sushi restaurant and hot chocolate at a café wasn’t even initially invited to Drew.
Drew needed to learn about his romantic side before meeting Phan. He even said that he had never been married and had spent his time pursuing his hobbies and career.
But all changed when he met his wife because she made him fall in love. But while I wasn’t searching for her, Linda snuck into my life and caught me off guard. Linda showed me what genuine love is all about. He was made to admit a part of himself by Linda that he was not even aware he had.
To formalize things, he proposed to Linda in December 2016. Later, he confessed that he had concealed the ring for a few weeks out of fear that Linda may accidentally find it.
He was the only author of the ring. She received a custom-made engagement ring. It featured a 1.2-carat brilliant round-cut solitaire with a wavy setting.
He commented regarding the ring, “Linda doesn’t wear rings very frequently, and when she does, they’re generally modest, simple, and lovely because she is so petite. I wanted to make a trendy item, so I added a swirl solitaire mount with four prongs to the 14-carat white gold ring.
To record “Marry Me,” a well-known song by the band Train that is usually used as a proposal song, Drew headed to New York. He played it when Phan and him were having supper. He later prepared an engagement party for everyone in secret.
As creative director at Scott Brothers Entertainment’s media firm, Phan oversees several projects. He also works for the family company.
It came out that the pair had previously been married in Nashville, Tennessee, despite having a glorious ceremony there. They laugh about the judge of the peace showing up for their exclusive hot tub wedding. In addition, they traded burgers rather than rings.
The next stage in their life after marriage was having children, which they eagerly anticipated. Drew continued, “We’re eager to become parents. We can’t wait to start that part of our lives because I know Linda and I will make great parents.
Even a room has been set aside in their Los Angeles house for when they have kids. But after two years of trying, they started questioning whether there could be a problem. They went to a doctor to find out what was going on.
According to their testing, Phan’s thyroid condition made it challenging for her to get pregnant. She started seeing a doctor, and the pair started looking for other couples going through the same things. They talked about how they would be open to adopting a kid even if they weren’t expecting it.
But in August 2021, they discovered something that changed everything. They learned they were expecting a kid. Along with the announcement, the delighted father shared a photo of his wife’s expanding baby bulge on social media.
The joyful soon-to-be parents thanked everyone who helped them, especially the medical staff. Drew captioned the picture, saying, “Getting here has been quite an adventure.” We are conscious that we are not the only ones going through this and that everyone has obstacles.
The couple announced the arrival of their son on May 4, 2022, on their “At Home” podcast. They couldn’t wait to share their news with their fans. They claim that the name of their son is Parker James Scott.
The couple’s fourth wedding anniversary fell on the day the infant was born, weighing 8 pounds and 1.8 ounces. The delight of the pair is incredible.
Drew said on his podcast that he was trying to prioritize his family now that he had a son. He stated, “I think having a child changes some things about who you are.” Parker will always have a particular place in my heart, even though I still love what I do and love helping other families.
We are thrilled that Drew and Linda are now parents and have a son.
