David proposed to Heather Mosher on December 23, 2016. She received a breast cancer diagnosis on the same day, and it was one of the most severe kinds.
The couple chose to postpone their wedding because by September of last year, Heather, a once-vibrant 31-year-old Connecticut woman, had spread the disease and was becoming worse.
Even though she had lost all of her hair at this point, she donned a wig that looked remarkably like her own for her wedding. David and Heather exchanged vows in the hospital chapel in front of loved ones, friends, and many tears. She was also dressed in a stunning white bridal gown.
One year to the day after David proposed to her and she received her cancer diagnosis, she passed away 18 hours later.
